Exclusive
interview with Alexander Bard on Europe + radio from 27.11.04
Interviewer: Good evening,
Alexander!
Alexander: Hello!
I: A lot of people in Russia know you from Army of Lovers. Do you
have a kind of nostalgie and didn't an idea of reunion come to your
mind?
A: No. It was fantastic time, but I really prefer BWO. BWO is
another kind of music. At present it interests me much more.
I: I've heard that you are not using studio to record your songs.
Is it true?
A: Yes. The whole album is made on laptops and only on
laptops. We only sing in the studio and bring together the phonogram,
because we need very good speakers.
I:Besides you in BWO there are two members: Marina Schiptjenko
and Martin Rolinski. How have you found each other?
A: As for Marina, I know her many years, she is an art-dealer
from Stockholm. She is clever and good at playing keyboards. I
always take pleasure in working with her. Martin was chosen from
thirty five candidates in the contest. He turned out to be the best
singer and a good person.
I: Army of Lovers, Vacuum, Alcazar... How long do you think will
BWO last?
A: I think, BWO will live long. Look, the songwriters write
the best of their songs when they are between forty and sixty, and
the singers sing their best when they are between twenty and forty,
so if you look at Martin and me, you will understand that in the
next twenty years nothing can threaten us.
I: Living In A Fantasy is today at the first place of TOP 40.
Some words for our auditory and people who love BWO.
A: It's absolutely fantastic! We adore our fans and we are
delighted that you like our music! We hope that we won't disappoint
you. Our album release in Russia is sheduled three months earlier
than in the rest of the world. We are very proud to be at the first
place of your top.
