Hit-FM revealed the mystery
of BWO lead singer
Music news
In another, not less successful than all the previous ones, project
of Alexander Bard - Bodies Without Organs band - there is a girl
with a Ukrainian surname - Marina Schiptjenko. Our radio's programme
director Sergey Kuzin asked the dark-haired girl about her genealogy,
having called her on the phone in Stockholm.
K.: Are you a Ukrainian? You have a Ukrainian surname
S.: Oh, yeah. You are right. I was brought-up by my father,
who really comes from Ukraine. He lived in St.Petersburg. And I was
born in Sweden. But my Ukrainian roots are very valuable for me. My
genes let me hear from them: I feel at home in Ukraine. I don't feel
like a hundred percent Swedish woman. Definitely, I don't feel.
K.: In which town of Ukraine was your father born?
S.: I remember him telling me, when I was a kid (and he died
when I was ten years old), that he was born in a little Ukrainian
village, the name of which starts from Ekatherine-. And the ending I
don't remember. The thing is that my father lost all the papers when
he was moving.
